The classic children's television series Teletubbies makes up part of the fondest childhood memories of millennials. As Sun Baby rises over the mountain ridges, the colourful quartet take to the Christmas Dream Playground for adventures which all kids are invited to join! Ushering in this holiday season, MCP CENTRAL and MCP DISCOVERY in Tseung Kwan O, in partnership with Teletubbies owner WildBrain, are presenting the “MCP x Teletubbies Christmas Snowy Adventure” between 2 November 2024 and 1 January 2025, where Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will turn out in lovely winter outfits to welcome visitors into a candy-coloured Christmas wonderland featuring five photo ops and three play zones for all fans, big and little! Snap a photo in front of the 7.5-metre-tall Inflatable Po and visit the Teletubbies Snow Playground, including the Dipsy Speedy Slide, and Teletubbies Ice Gateball – these are just some of the delights in store, not to mention snowball fun at Laa-Laa Arctic World to complete an authentic white Christmas celebration! Meanwhile, MCP is putting on a Teletubbies Snow Show every hour in an enchanting setting under the snowflakes! 

What’s more, MCP is also partnering with charity organisation Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to organise the Teletubbies Christmas Card Design Contest and Teletubbies Thematic Postcard Redemption. All proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to send festive joy by helping children in Hong Kong and Macau realise their wishes as they battle with critical illnesses – another effort to inspire those children and their families with love and care during this festive season. 

5 Photo Ops & 3 Play Zones for Teletubbies fans

Embark on a Christmas adventure as Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po welcome visitors into five photogenic dioramas at the Christmas wonderland where great fun awaits you in different play zones! 

Photo Op 1: 7.5m-tall Giant Inflatable Po

The most eye-catching surprise is the 7.5-metre-tall giant inflatable Po lounging on a bed of twinkling stars in her Christmas outfit! She is there to cheer us as we warm up for games.

Photo Op 2: Dipsy Speedy Slide

Teletubbies fans, brace yourselves for an adrenaline rush as you fly down the “Dipsy Speedy Slide”! Dressed as a sled coach, Dipsy is going to teach you the tricks of a 10/10 ride! 

Game 1: Teletubbies Snow Slide

Enjoy an exhilarating parent-child moment as you fly down Hong Kong’s first-ever Teletubbies Snow Slide with your little ones!

Those with nimble limbs and active minds can try their hands on the Teletubbies Ice Gateball! Participants need to pass the ball through the rainbow gates and hit it on the star goal. As opposed to the game on a grassy court, the actions now unfold on the ice with faster speed and more intense excitement!

MCP Joins Teletubbies and Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to Grant Wishes to Child Patients

Everyone deserves a warm and joyous Christmas! This holiday season, MCP partners with the international charity Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to organise the Teletubbies Christmas Card Design Contest and Teletubbies Thematic Greeting Cards Charity Redemption. All proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to spread joy by helping child patients in Hong Kong and Macau realise their wishes as they battle with illnesses – another effort to promote the charity’s mission and services. 

From now until 11 November 2024, all primary and kindergarten students in Hong Kong are invited to participate in the “Teletubbies Christmas Card Design Contest” to show off their creativity themed at the Christmas Wonderland of Teletubbies. For each entry received, MCP will donate HK$10 to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong. 

The contest is divided into three categories, namely Kindergarten (K.1 to K.3), Junior Primary (P.1 to P.3) and Senior Primary (P.4 to P.6). Representatives from MCP, Make-A-Wish Hong Kong and Teletubbies will form a judging panel to select a champion, a first runner-up, a second runner-up and seven merit awardees for each category. The awardees will each receive a certificate, book vouchers, and an exclusive “MCP x Teletubbies” gift pack, with their winning designs exhibited in MCP during campaign period. The three champion designs will also be printed on Christmas cards (three cards/set), to be sent to Wish Children and their families via Make-A-Wish Hong Kong, as a token of best wishes in their battle with illnesses. 

In addition, MCP is organising a “Teletubbies Thematic Card Redemption” during the campaign period. With same-day single e-spending at HK$300, H‧COINS members are eligible to redeem a set of Teletubbies Thematic Card (a set of five, with a total of 1,000 sets), which MCP will donate HK$50 for every set of cards redemption to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong to help child patients realise their wishes.
